Extraordinary General Meeting

An EGM has been called for Sunday 19th November at 12.30pm to discuss one item of business – to propose that from April 2007 full membership of DISC will provide automatic membership of WISA. There will be a small additional annual fee, (£5 for the first 2/3 years).  This EGM will take place half an hour before the WISA AGM in the crèche at the Leisure Centre and is during the Welsh NJS competition so there is no Club on this day. Come and watch synchro skating instead. Please could members attend the DISC EGM but if you are unable to attend but wish to vote you may nominate a proxy to vote on your behalf – Dowload Voting Form Here.

Sponsorship

Do you know of a family firm, small business or an individual who may like to sponsor a page in the show programme in return for a £10 donation? Alternatively if you want to advertise in the programme this can be arranged - please contact Pat Brewin.

ISkate magazine

On sale in the Leisure Centre shop. Price £3.50

Northern Free League

Takes place in Nottingham on Sunday November 26th. Good luck to our team – Maisie Jones, Natalie Haime, Kimberley Myburgh, Ashley Waterhouse and Tom Gregory.

Deeside Free Open

This has tentatively been arranged for Saturday June 16th and Sunday June 17th 2007 but won’t be able to go ahead unless we have an organiser – to liaise with the rink, with judges and with entrants. Please talk to Grace Shipsides or Pat Brewin for further details.

Chester Zoo

The Club has been asked to skate at Chester Zoo in January. Further details to follow. It is only a small rink and it may not be possible to accommodate everyone who wants to skate there.
